Hey Everyone!
I'm here inspired by Remi's post
I'm in the validation phase of the MVP of the software that I'm building.
I’m currently trying to present my value proposition in the simpliest form.
I’m not a native English speaker and I'm struggling finding the best description.
Question: Do you understand my value proposition and the problem I’m trying to solve on this homepage?
I'm open to brutally honest feedback (about idea and landing page) ;-)
Thank you so much in advance for your help 🙌
The contrast of your headline and the text below is too stark - make the paragraph text bigger. For the main headline the line height seems too big, the font size is inversely related to the line height (keep that in mind when making the text below bigger).
It is unclear to me why your text is flowing around like that, the paragraph begins over the email-form but continues down below, it would be more clear to put it all above.
Starting from 9$ seems random here - it has a different alignment than the rest of the text, it introduces underline, the font-weight is odd, this is standing out too much from the rest in my opinion.
"Give me access" the wording seems unusual, what is wrong with "Sign Up"? To me it is not clear what will happen when I enter my mail and press that button. Will I be redirected? Will I get a newsletter now?
The consistency is off overall, to fix this you could start by adjusting your font sizes: Please consistently use just 2 or 3 of them, not one for heading, two for paragraphs, one for form-data and another one for "bold paragraph".
Generally speaking: Our brains are working in a very visual way, you do have a lot of space left to the right and I can not see a connection between your proposal and your background image, maybe you could find a clever illustration for your product? Might also help to reduce the amount of required text.
Things I do like: I think the color scheme makes sense, the page is not overloaded too much, it seems to me you applied a slight darkening filter and blur to improve readability, the page roughly follows the 60-30-10 rule, so good work on those points!
Idea sounds interesting enough, but the most important point is hard to find: If you can prevent account-faking etc without a loss in conversion rate then this would be your main selling point, so please make it much more prominent and don't hide it in the very last line below your email-form!
Wooow!
Thank you for such detailed feedback, I'll change the details for sure :)
Can you suggest articles, books or courses about this? I'd love to know more from a good source with explanations.
I really like the books "About Face: The fundamentals of User Interaction Design" and "Fundamentals of Creating a Great UI/UX", these are great to start with :) There are also very good mini-tutorials on YouTube but I did not watch them for quite some time so I cant tell you off my head who to follow there. Also Creative-Tim, dribble and even pinterest are great resources for inspiration. Most importantly however is to ask yourself "WHY does this screen look appealing?" and equally "WHY does this interface not look very good?" Try to pin-point exactly what feels right or wrong and you will develop a strong sense for it in no time.
Good luck :)
