Sales tip for B2B product creators

All business owners care about increasing sales, reducing churn and maximizing margins.

Make sure whatever you are pitching improves one of the KPIs listed below:

  • Monthly Recurring Revenue
  • Net Revenue
  • Fees
  • Average Revenue Per User
  • Lifetime Value
  • Active Users
  • New Customers

There is a lot more KPIs that can be used, however, I feel these cover the majority of what people are building.

All your emails, calls, social touches, or sales pitches should show your prospects on how to improve one of these metrics.

Focus on the value your product provides, not just the features.

While features are important, what really matters to potential customers is the value your product can bring to their business. This means understanding their pain points and showing how your product can solve their problems and make their business more successful.

One way to do this is to focus on the outcomes your product enables, rather than just the features. For example, instead of just talking about how your software can automate a certain process, talk about how it can save time and reduce errors, leading to greater efficiency and cost savings.

Another approach is to use case studies or customer success stories to demonstrate the real-world impact your product can have. By showing how your product has helped other businesses achieve their goals, you can build trust and credibility with potential customers.
