Server-Side Rendering or RestAPI with front-end?

Hi,

I'm developing a back-end for my front-end app and thinking about what solution to go.

I just get Laravel Jetstream and it seems to render front-end on server-side (No REST API). And now I'm stuck in a decision between server-side rendering and RestAPI with front-end?

Now, I have a fully front-end app, and I just need to implement account management, subscriptions, and payments. I was going to use Laravel Jetstream and now I wonder if this is a really good solution.

What do you think? I would be very grateful if you could help me with this question.

    Hi,
I‘m not sure if I get your question 100% right. But you can use Laravel as an API for any frontend you implement. You don‘t need Jetstream for it.

In fact, I developed a Starter Kit that hooks up a Laravel API to a Next.js frontend. Maybe it helps you as a reference on how to connect your own Frontend to your laravel backend.
    Find the repo here

    I hope that helps you.
    Cheers!

      Thank you for your answer.

Yes, I know this and know how to implement it. I just was searching for a faster and better solution and found Jetstream, but it seems using a server-side rendering approach. Because of it, I stuck in the decision between server-side rendering and RestAPI with front-end.

I decided to implement Jetstream on the main app with REST API and the front-end app on a subdomain (it will request the main app REST API). I think it is the best and fastest solution I figured.

Also, I will check out the starter kit, thank you for sharing it.
