We all know that building a product is hard, but getting to profitability is the hardest.
Tell us what your product does and how much you're generating from it.
Thanks.
My product is SongRender, a music visualizer video maker. I don’t yet support subscriptions so this isn’t recurring revenue, but from one–time purchases I’ve grossed $56 this year. Not enough to pay my rent, but it’s something!
great...but you ned to work hard to improve your revenue.
Hey musty! My product is an Adobe Illustrator extension that takes designers' final logo artwork and generates every color variation and file type their clients need. It exports, names, and sorts the files into an easy-to-use folder structure.
Manually, this process can take up to an hour or more and produce hundreds of files. My Logo Package Express extension does it all in 2–3 minutes :)
I launched in May of 2019 and have surpassed $100,000 in sales. I'm doing a little over $9,000 a month on average.
I didn't consider myself profitable until I got paid back for the 500 hours of work I put in and made back development costs as well.
congrats @mbrunygroth. keep up the good work.
people like you inspire me to keep going forward. i think now that you're doing $9000 per month on average, you can scale it to maybe $30,000 at the end of this year.
my advice to you is to focus more on content marketing and seo .
Thanks! I can always improve my content and SEO, that's for sure. My primary thrust is towards adding affiliate partners, as they are the most consistent source of solid revenue. the $9k a month is an average some months are lower and then some months are huge because of sale events. I'm hoping to extend the functionality of my Adobe extension with a web app. The web app will open possibilities for recurring monthly revenue :D
cool then.
