This is my first post and interestingly enough I found this on TikTok. Anyways, I have a slack community where I share insights and help others with their media buys. I tested this concept before accepting users in Q1 of this year and starting of Q2 I started accepting payment. It has done well so far but the decrease of communication and conversations has dropped. I found the paying customers are the basic info consumers and the free sign ups from Q1 were the quality users that kept conversations going. I feel from my point of view because I would do the same is that the high value ones are leaving because of basic conversations. I even had one of my friends told me some of these comments are retarded.
I made this community chat because I wanted to help people with marketing but I had online courses, forums, private facebook groups, because information there doesnt work in the real world of marketing. I would rather help someone that has already helped themselves. I do not like wanting to help someone that says they want to get into affiliate marketing but haven't done any research. This is the reason why I do not do courses.
I started creating a LP private pages where I give away affiliate landing pages, and now I think I should add tools but is it good when the interaction between users are dwindling. Right now most people paying are starters and are there for the information consumption.
My plan now is to maybe work with other info product guys and have this chat as an upsell, this way the 'gurus' help them understand and I give them feedback.
Thoughts on increase interaction and expansion?
Interesting that you found this on TikTok — what was the post?
was some guy that showed a sliding calculator about how much you want to make a month, which I didnt find on here, and what project to get started.
the first few days / weeks are super, super-slow. don't give up.
my first 60 days were amazing but once I turned on paid subscription that where it took a dip just because less and less people signed up I assumed.
which makes sense... right? the moment you turn it on... folks have to pay?
