I dislike calling airlines to make ticket changes. It annoys me that I have to spend ~15-20 minutes on the phone while only talking/listening for ~3-5 minutes. The rest is time on hold.

Yes I would use this. I sometimes pay a virtual assistant to do this for me.
In order to be effective, you would probably need to take my CC info and have tools on hand to quickly look through alternative flights. If there's a particularly tricky itinerary change I do it through https://flightfox.com/, which has travel experts who know the system very well.
