The antidote to context-switching

If you're like me and you suffer from context-switching overload, here are 3 suggestions that are working for me:

  1. Day Theming. Group your tasks by type into specific days. For me that's Planning day, Writing day, Sales day, People day and Review day. This article covers it in more detail 👉https://todoist.com/productivity-methods/time-blocking#day-theming

  2. Run a 1-hour weekly review. A chance to look back at the week, learn where the weak points are, plan next week, tidy your workspace etc. Another article from Todoist explains it well 👉 https://todoist.com/productivity-methods/weekly-review

  3. I've started using Hera Calendar (https://www.hera.so). This is the best calendar I've tried so far. The main win for me with this is that it hides and shows with CMD+E so I can quickly toggle it to display or hide to check where I am in my day.

Hope this is helpful to someone

    Great tips Joshua.
What helps me is to create a weekly spread. Not daily. I do it in Notion.

Here's a link if you or someone wants to duplicate it:

Also, I block hours in my calendar that are essentially a task.
Force me not to do anything else. Works 80% of the time but is still decent 😄
