How did you build the network of developers?

From December 2016 until recently I'd been focused on building that side of the marketplace, Code For Cash.. I've been posting monthly reports with tons of details on that, you should be able to find them through sifting through my post history

Also can you see the hourly rate of developers before they complete the task? Since this is used for screening potential hires it doesn't really matter if they can complete the task well if I can't afford their hourly rate.

Great question. Of course you can see their fixed price bid for the task, but you can certainly ask them directly what their hourly rate is for ongoing work. For now most people have been asking this informally via messages. We have two communication systems on the platform - an on-site messaging system and our Slack channel.
