Validation: Platform to find employees for your startup

Hypothesis: Finding employees as a startup is so hard that startups are willing to pay for a service that mitigates this issue. Tell me if I'm wrong.

How did you find the first employees for your startup? Which difficulties did you face? How did you solve them? When did you make the shift from time-and-material contracts to permanent employees?
