As a founder, it's easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day and have little time to celebrate wins or smell the roses during the startup journey.
This is why I wanted to take a moment to publicly celebrate hitting $10k ARR for our side project, Supademo 🚀
A public thank you to everyone who's tried out Supademo and provided feedback on our tool over the past few months. You've been immensely helpful.
If you haven't tried Supademo, I'd love for you to try it out and provide feedback. Happy to provide a discount for all of our indie-hacking friends 😎
Some lessons learned along the way:
- Avoid building the 'hammer in search of the nail'. A lot of entrepreneurs can be blinded by pure excitement and joy to build, but picking the right market and ensuring the problem is worth solving is paramount to future success.
- Further to this, success in startups is so often predicated on the right nexus of market, opportunity, people, execution, and luck. Some of this is uncontrollable (i.e. luck), but you can increase your success probability by being deliberate about the market you decide on, the mentors you surround yourself with, and the team you decide to build with.
