There is no one way to "correctly" validate products.
There is only one guideline: "make sure that you are building something that people want"
For example, you can research trends and create an affiliate-supported business model where you can generate more revenue around creating content that people are interested in.
Another example is that you can ask people directly to validate a wider-reaching product that most people would be interested in.
There is no "right" way to validate products - as long as you can find products that people want to buy, you have a validated product.
One rule about product validation is that the closer that you are to your market (and the more that they agree that they want the product), then it is more likely that you have a product that people actually want the product.
