Where to get started with animated video production

Hi Everybody -

My sister (who's a freshman in college) is helping me out at LegUp Health this summer. Her project is to create an animated explainer video. She's looking for best practice guides on how to get started in this field.

Do any Indie Hackers have recommendations or resources that you could point me to that might be helpful to her on her journey?
