Why I built this

I built this tool after struggling to create dozens of icon sizes for an MS Store app I wanted to submit to the store. Most dev stores requires different dimensions, and I couldn't find a simple solution that just worked. So I made Image Assets Generator: upload one image, get all the sizes you need for MS Store, App Store, Chrome Extension or Google Play. No fuss, just the right files in the right format.

It's free to use as it solves a problem I had but I'm not sure I'd have paid a service for :). Hope you find it useful!

Love this! I know a huge pain point for brands working on multi-channel advertising campaigns is resizing assets to fit all of the different ad specs. Would be interesting to see a section of this dedicated to advertising needs.

Good point. I think that makes sense. I'll add that, and look for other common asset size types (presets) to add (not sure on the name "preset" but it'll do for now). I'll probably maintain a "Featured" list on the main UI and a separate "All" tab for all the other presets, and a new section for Advertising

This is one of those pain points that only hits you when you're deep in the process, and then you can’t believe there isn’t a simple fix already. Really like how focused this is: one input, clean output, no extras.

Curious, did you consider supporting custom naming conventions or formats for devs with more niche setups? Or was the goal to keep it frictionless and standard?

Either way, bookmarking this for the next time I submit to a store. Appreciate the clean utility.

Great idea! I think there's a way to achieve this while still maintaining the straightfoward UX.

Custom image sizes feature allows providing custom input sizes for generation, I hadn't considered it as useful so didn't flesh out as much, but I could give it more functionality to solve this
      1) custom name and format for each individual custom size
      2) save all custom sizes in browser localstorage so you don't have to fill them each time

Will hack on this once I get the chance, prob on Saturday. Thanks for the idea!!

Awesome to hear you're thinking about building that in, love how you’re balancing clean UX with flexibility. 🙌

Really appreciate the transparency and responsiveness too. This is exactly the kind of thoughtful iteration that makes dev tools feel like magic.

The change is now live! Thanks for the suggestion. Custom size selection now supports custom names and formats
