Will it FLOAT or SINK (and cost thousands)?

Hello World,

And thanks for taking the bait on my "clickbaity" title.

Now that you are here I would like to introduce you to a project we have been working on for the last 6 months.

OpenPhone.io

OpenPhone is intended to be the link that connects all your business applications in a single pane of glass.

With communication being the backbone of every business we have been frustrated with the fact that at any given point during the day, Slack, Skype, Teams, Outlook, Gmail, Drift, and a variety of other applications are running in the background crushing not only our CPU and Ram, but also our productivity.

So we started building OpenPhone with the idea that we would release it to the world and see if it FLOATS or if it SINKS.

NOTE: If you check out our landing page, we are NOT trying to rebuild your favorite business apps. We are simply trying to build a Softphone that can integrate with your favorite business apps while working with ANY Phone System (PBX).

Indie Hackers, we would love to hear any and ALL feedback.

basically you would be combining all VOIP into a single platform? Is this technically feasible? Like can you intercept the communication stream from each platform, I have no clue when it comes to this stuff.

How I see it is that all these platforms are the same thing, what they ideally boil down to is just a phone number. Doesn't matter what phone, or what service provider or whatever, just dial and connect. This is the same with email. If what you are tying to do creates a "phone number" for video calling then I think you have something!
