I'm building Grace - a brand new parental control app for iOS that will be the first that doesn't access a child's personal data and can't be removed and bypassed by tech-savvy kids.
Is it successful?
One sentence describes it all: instead of the planned 3 months, we've been building the startup for 8 months and are still working. The technical API issues almost ruined the whole product idea.
But through baby steps, we are getting there!
In the next weeks we'll open a private alpha testing.
Also, we'll give special promo codes to all alpha and beta testers after the release.
If you are a wise parent searching for a reliable parental control app, comment or DM me on Twitter lianakhanova or here, and I'll send you an invite!
Haha! That is always the race. Best of luck with your app!
Yes, it’s an endless game. Thank you for the support! :)
really now?
Yes :)

Thanks for the question @Primer. By personal data, I meant sensitive data that apps utilizing the MDM and VPN profiles get from the child's phone.
Here is Apple's statement about MDM-based solution:
MDM gives a third party control and access over a device and its most sensitive information, including user location, app use, email accounts, camera permissions, and browsing history.

In contrast to the old-style parental control apps utilizing the MDM and VPN profiles, we don't have access to any of this data.
