Add the missing context & evidence to your resume.

September 21, 2026 Irony: the easiest way to stand out in today's job market is to be more human: genuine, specific, credible, and uniquely you.

Vikram here, founder of graph.

I run an 8-year-old specialist recruitment agency that helps well-funded startups and global enterprises hire Data, AI & Analytics professionals in India.

Over the years, I've realised that most candidates find it difficult to articulate what they've done. Whether it's on their resume, LinkedIn profile or even in interviews, candidates are either too generic, too short, too verbose or too vague, and often assume the reader has the time or willingness to understand what they've done and why it matters.

And tbh, things got especially worse over the last year or so. AI-polished resumes became very good at sounding impressive without necessarily adding any real value for the reader.

graph fixes that.

  • You start by uploading your resume

  • Answer a few targeted questions (I promise this is not yet another long form)

  • And where possible add evidence from your public artefacts like GitHub, LeetCode, Kaggle, etc.

Along the way, you can claim your personalised URL, e.g. mygraph.id/<yourname>, and decide what to showcase publicly and what to keep private.

From there, graph can help you:

  • Generate an enriched resume

  • Prepare for interviews

  • And build a much more confident answer to the question every candidate eventually faces: “Why should we hire you?”

So if you're a Data, AI or Analytics professional, I'd love for you to try graph and share your feedback in the comments:

  1. Were the questions around missing context actually helpful, or did they feel superficial?

  2. Did graph help you think about or articulate your work better?

  3. Did you compare your original resume with the graph-generated resume? If yes, what did you think?

Would love your feedback. 🙏

The “AI-polished but empty” resume problem is real. Especially in Data/AI where everyone sounds the same on paper. Pulling in GitHub / Kaggle / public artefacts as evidence is the right fix; context beats another generic summary. My main concern is that you are caring too much about what recruiters think, and not enough about what agents think. I really like this idea though, and I am going to share it with some of my friends.

@Martin thanks for the thoughtful comment. Yes, we’re seeing some great initial feedback from early users. Learning a lot along the way. Tbh, yes, we’re slightly over indexed on recruiters / hiring managers, and that’s probably cos I run a recruitment biz as my day job. But, even today, we’ve built the underlying architecture such that each public profile on graph is searchable / indexable by agents. Applying AEO/GEO concepts to personal profiles. Again, really appreciate you sharing it with your friends. I’d love for you to try as well. https://mygraph.id

The context layer is the interesting part. Have any candidates or recruiters found that the added evidence materially changed how they judged someone versus the original resume?

@aryan thanks. we've launched in open beta less than a week ago, and the early candidate responses have consistently been some variation of this: - this showcases me well / tells a much better story - didn't realise I was missing this aspect - help me think through in a different way As for recruiters, they are not yet an intended direct user. We're focused pre-dominantly on the candidate side and doing things which can help them across use cases. But that said, I run an 8 year old recruitment business, focused pre-dominantly on hiring Data, AI & Analytics folks for enterprises and funded startups in India. graph is a result of seeing this massive influx of AI generated resumes, and our attempt to help folks bring back the real context & evidence...make things real.

The candidate reactions are interesting, especially that “didn’t realise I was missing this” signal. Would email be easier? What’s the best address for you?

Thanks! I’ve just sent it over. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.
