The calorie tracker for people who've quit calorie trackers
Hey everyone, my name is Mattias. Over the summer, I built my own calorie tracking app because I got really tired of apps that just don't work or that feel like I'm redoing all of my business accounting, but just for tracking my food.
This is another scratch-your-own-itch product. I originally built it only for me, but then friends and family saw me using it and all wanted something similar: something much easier to track the food you're eating and the calories you're consuming on a daily basis.
We live in a tricky world when it comes to food. The stuff you think is healthy turns out really isn't. It's very hard to find food that is satiating, doesn't leave you with hunger, tastes good, gives you a happy feeling, but doesn't make you fat. That's basically what calorie trackers are: tools to help you decide what you can eat in a single day without blowing your budget.
For me, I haven't found a single app as easy to use as Snapkin. I know I'm biased, I built it after all, but with just two clicks (taking a photo of your plate at dinner) you get a pretty good calorie estimate. Whenever something is a bit unclear, we'll ask a few simple follow-up questions that, again, only take a few taps. Calorie tracking has never been easier.
This isn't something you want to keep up for the rest of your life. I know I wouldn't want to do that, but if your goal is to lose a bit of weight or build muscle, then tracking what you eat is a really good approach. I don't think there's anything easier than this app. Give it a try. There's a free trial, no strings attached. If you don't like it, cancel, but if you're ever looking for something easier to keep track of what you're eating, to me, this is the answer.

I got tired of weighing my food, tracking how many tomatoes were in a bowl or finding the right yoghurt from a long list. With properly tuned frontier AI models, getting a good estimate just from a photo becomes feasible
