PPP Pricing Automation Tool for App Developers

August 29, 2026 Automating PPP pricing across 170 countries for Google Play Console (so I stopped doing it by hand)

I run a few apps on Play Store and I like running pricing experiments — testing different price points for subscriptions and one-time products in different markets.

The part I dreaded every time: PPP-adjusting prices. If you've done it, you know the drill — pull a purchasing-power index, cross-reference exchange rates, do the math for every country, then go update each one manually in Play Console. For a handful of countries it's tedious. For 170+ it's a half-day gone.

There are tools that automate this, but they're built for teams with real budgets — the pricing puts them out of reach for a solo dev running one or two apps.

So I built SnapParity, a small Windows/Mac desktop app that does the whole loop:

  • Connect it to your Play Console with a service account JSON (stays local on your machine, never leaves your device)

  • Pick the product, set a base country and price

  • It calculates PPP-adjusted prices for every country using World Bank data + live exchange rates and drops them into a table

  • You review/tweak anything you want

  • Hit push — prices go live on Play Console

If you don't even want a tool and just want the numbers, I put the PPP calculator up for free here: snapparity.app/ppp-converter — no login, no catch, just useful if you're pricing manually and want a sanity check.

The full app has a free trial if you want to try the Play Console sync: snapparity.app

Genuinely want feedback more than sales here — if you've dealt with PPP pricing for your app, how are you handling it right now? Manually, an expensive SaaS, or just not bothering because it's too much friction? Curious what breaks for other solo devs.

Useful angle on the App Store side too: among the storefronts I track, ChatGPT Plus floor (observed 2026-09-23) is Philippines about $15.96/mo (₱999, ~20% below the US $19.99 list). A lot of “Nigeria ~$9 Plus” posts are mixing ChatGPT Go with Plus — Nigeria Plus is much higher now. I keep a storefront table here (informational, not a merchant): https://www.aisubdeal.com/pricing/chatgpt/ How are you handling App Store vs Play when the ladders diverge?

Hey Robin, thanks for sharing that table—bookmarked! That Nigerian pricing discrepancy makes total sense now; I didn't realize people were mixing up ChatGPT Go and Plus. To answer your question on App Store vs. Play Store: it used to be a massive headache because Google allows exact localized prices while Apple forces you into predefined tiers. I actually just updated SnapParity to handle App Store Connect as well to solve exactly this. The app now calculates the true PPP target and automatically "snaps" it to the nearest valid Apple price tier before pushing the update. It keeps both platforms as tightly in sync as Apple's rigid grid allows without any manual cross-referencing. Are you mostly just matching your Play Store prices to whatever Apple's closest tier dictates right now, or have you found another workaround?

About

I run pricing experiments on my Play Store apps and got tired of manually PPP-adjusting prices for 170+ countries. Existing tools cost too much for a solo dev, so I built SnapParity to automate it myself.
