James Richards

Solo founder building Tubient (tubient.io), a YouTube analytics tool that tries to answer the "why" behind a video's performance instead of just showing another dashboard of numbers. Started building it after getting frustrated running my own speedcubing channel, Ozymandias Speedcubing, and constantly hitting the limits of what YouTube Studio could tell me. Based in Sydney. Bootstrapped, still early, dogfooding on my own channel every day.

  1. Tubient

Tubient is a YouTube analytics tool built for creators who want to understand why a video performed the way it did, not just see another dashboard of numbers. Users build a visual pipeline connecting date ranges, filters, and metrics, and an AI layer synthesizes that data into a plain-English narrative, whether a video's growth came from search, suggested feed, or a specific traffic spike. Built by a solo founder who started it to answer questions about his own YouTube channel that Studio couldn't.
