Show IH: NameLabs - How to REALLY validate domain or product names

Inspired in one of the recently articles published here at IH, I decided to build my own side project and I have recently finished the development of the website. Didn't actually started any marketing real yet. Right now, I'm just gathering general feedback and I would love hear from you guys.

Some objections I have
- No idea what kind of results I'll be getting. Yes/no? Sample report would be perfect.
- Lack of information about the respondents. How do I know it's not just you making it all up?
- No information about who's behind this. One single person? Team? Credentials? Experience? Anything?
- What if I get scammed? What if I don't like what I get? What about a money back guarantee?

  The sample report is really something people are asking. As you may imagine, I have the tested the approach in order to come with the domain name I'm using (namelabs.io). Right now it's an HTML report with lots of graphs comparing different aspects about the name candidates. I'm working on polishing the HTML to look nicer before making it available in the website.
  
  I think with the sample report, it will help out with most of the objections you described.

      I would also generate a sample report in PDF format with your logo on.
      
      Yes, for sure. I was thinking maybe I can send the report to people who are willing to provide e.g. their email address or through 'contact us'. This way I know they are serious and not just looking around. Plus it would be a great chance to chat with really interested users. Make sense ?
      
      Also, to develop some of PD's concerns a little, there is nothing on your website that
      
      We have developed the methodology based on the solid experiment models. We could explain more details of this for sure, but I wonder if that's really getting in the way of a sale. I mean, I'm not sure for example if other websites (offering similar services) are doing presenting their methodology extensively on their website (?) . I think in general the report would also help here, as we describe the basic methodology for each experiment we perform, so the user understand the results.
      
      Simple point: are your respondents all US-English speakers?
      No, we currently can target several other countries, including UK.
      
      Do you perform the "indecency" test?
      
      Not exactly, I have been getting this question a lot actually. It's indeed an interesting point, but to solve it we would need to have respondents from different languages to test that for real. I'm considering adding this to the premium package in future.

It's a nice idea, and i can see where you got it from ;) It's also a nice business idea to use in other industries. Overall does it look really good, i like your graphics along the way, have you made them by yourself? or where do you get them from? :)

Just under "Name Validation Service" Do you come with three different problems your product is solved. I think they are too much similar. I would either just write one to be their, or work on it to create 3 with more difference.

Your pricing table would i like a clear separation of the package. I though at the start they where one.

Your are talking about, you will make sure we have made the pre work. What about you also created a package, where you created the pre work, so they maybe got 5-10 names they can choice three of, and then it will be send to the respondents? It will take a bit of focus from your main product, but i also think it's something that not take so much time in the end.

  I'm using https://www.strikingly.com to build it, and most of nice looking things are coming from there. I'm planning to build it on my own version if this takes off. All the backend to analyze the results and produce the reports is written in Python.

  There are many tools and services out there that people can go to in order to come up with good initial names ideas. But maybe that's also something we can offer as well in future.

    I did understand what it was for, but i just thought i was reading almost the same thing 3 times, it's a bit annoying.
    
    I will for sure say you should look into it, with all the data you are getting fron respondents over time, will you could create so much better names. I aldo think it's possible to pay a freelancer or some young persons to come up with the names. 1$ per name they come up with or something like that. But i sgree that you should focus on the validation for now, would just give you some deas for the furter :)
