Hey, everyone! I have just launched a beta of my new app:
It is a tree editor for writers, intended to make the process of outlining stories and articles more easy, fun, and convenient.
I would really love to hear what you do guys think. What are your first impressions? Is something unclear? What would you improve?
Looks interesting, I might try it for my next blog post :)
One thing that's confusing (at least from a designer's point of view) are the number of hot key options - it's a big overwhelming, all I see is a big block of text. Perhaps putting some of these functions in buttons as well would make exploration of the app easier for new users?
The demo is nice and I see it being useful. My only feedback is that I feel that you need a landing page in addition to your demo. One that shows how to use your app (ideally with either a video or gif). It would have been nice to see something like that before the demo. Of course I could be completely wrong.
I agree with this. It doesn't work well on iOS safari (which I'm using as I'm typing). Not being able to see how it works while on mobile might make more people like me think "ugh... I can't really see what's going on... gonna close this tab now".
Of course, you should base this on your analytics data. If you don't have any mobile visitors my point is moot. :)
