Show IH: Launched first major update to my app

Hey,

I've been a reader of the forums here for a while and keep meaning to make a post & now is a good a time as any!

My app is called Snappd and is for people who create stories on Instagram or Snapchat to have a dedicated place to store them.

We are a two person team at the moment with just me on development would be great to hear any feedback on the app. Have lots planned in the roadmap but right now we want to try and really help people making stories get the most from them as they can.

iOS Only - https://snappd.tv

Cheers,
Russell

Really cool idea and awesome UI! Unfortunately, I'm on Android so I can't play around with it.

Congrats on getting the app out there, and also for writing this post. As a fellow developer, I feel like I sometimes dread writing publicity posts and would rather just crank through code, but it takes very little time and is a great way to keep people updated/interested.

Courtland linked me to this Creative Tim article last week as it's a good example of getting users by 'continually releasing' or more or less just keeping people in the loop with updates like you're doing here. So I'd say keep it up! I'd love to hear how the app and company progress.

Thank you! Yes completely agree seems the longer the development takes the tougher it can be to actually release it. That sounds like a good idea going to try and stick to a new update at least every 2 weeks with some type of small write up.

Thinking of ways to get something out there for Android too possibly a web app which can be downloaded to begin with but it's on the todo list for sure! :)

This is a great idea. I instantly see the value. Congrats. There are a ton of "influencer" search engines. I recommend reaching out to them and asking them to use your product. I think Bustle makes a lot of stories... talk to them. Also it should be very easy to find customers for this – anyone that Insta/Snap auto-suggest in terms of stories, you can reach out to them. Wow!
