Show IH: System Tester - a dev tool for testing Ruby on Rails applications
System Tester is a tool that consists of two components:
- A Ruby Gem that can be installed in any Rails application.
- A chrome extension which I plan to sell on a subscription basis in the chrome store
If any Indie Hackers are working on Rails applications, I would love to get some feedback to see if the tool improves your productivity in creating and managing system tests.
It would also be great to hear from others who may have had success with selling a product in the chrome web store and to figure out what a good price point would be.
My gut tells me to go ahead, pull the trigger and release the extension and see what happens, but I haven't released it yet in hopes of receiving a second or third set of eyes. Any advice for next steps would be much appreciated.
