Here's a 2-sided question for everyone...
If you're a founder, what would your interest levels be in a platform that lets you find ad hoc sales people that do outbound sales for you? If you could browse through profiles that clearly show expected commission rates, expertise areas etc. would you use freelance-style sales people?
If you're a sales person, what would it take for you to list yourself on this type of marketplace?
Hi @pawel - there was a London-based startup that tried this two years ago and failed spectacularly. I can't remember the name unfortunately.
I won't list all of the reasons why this service doesn't work for startups, but I recommend you read (a summary of) the book 'Predictable Revenue' (http://predictablerevenue.com/) and the flaws will quickly become apparent.
The problem space is a really interesting one, however. I've been thinking about it for a while but haven't found a solution yet. Especially for startups, getting a foot in the door to be able to pitch a customer is difficult. A way of incentivising big co employees to listen to pitches by founders would be interesting.

Fair enough. As someone who has built and managed two sales teams, I wouldn't be interested in hiring freelance sales teams.
