Looking for someone to help me with UI/UX

Hey IH!

I browse quite frequently and have posted a few times but I thought this would be a great place to turn. I am looking for some UI/UX help.

A junior freelancer is totally fine I just need someone to take a critical look at our platform and give me mockups so I can give them to our developers on how it could be improved.

Let me know if you are interested and I can get in touch!

My company is Ghostit.co --> You can sign up for a free trial and poke around if you like. We automate content marketing workflows and standard operating procedures with direct scheduling built into the workflows.

@csallen not sure if these types of posts are allowed looking for help from the IH community so if it's against your TOS I can take it down :).

    Kimia,
Urgent I'm sure you've received many email requests - so let me tell u why we shld speak. First, I've been designing & developing award-winning UI/UX designs for start-ups, SMBs and F500 companies as a platform to help build and grow their client-acquisitions, strategic partnerships and most importantly, millions in new revenues. Second, I've helped define and grow the CMS market starting as an early adopter & tester for Vignette StoryServer & Interwoven - prior to all the LAMP & PHP platforms like Wordpress, Joomla, Squarespace, Drupal, etc. I actually help build, customize and rebrand a proprietary CMS that I used to build NY1 News, Kaplan, Inc., Cars.com, Benedek Broadcasting and many more - finally helped my friends and owners sell it to Clickability - which is the platform & engine behind their CMS. I'd be happy to speak and of course, take a quick look at your sites current UI - front & back - and give u my professional feedback re design & UX. Thank you for your time & consideration - will u be at Google's AI Conference on 11/14? TY, Phillip Schein

    Hi Kimia,

I'd love to get a better idea of what your hoping to get out of this for my own curiosity.

    1. Whats the problem you're trying to solve by bringing a UX/UI person onboard? e.g. have you identified a problem with your on-boarding flow or maybe you're not happy with the visual direction of the product.

    2. What areas are you looking wanting to focus on? e.g. the website, product itself or maybe even the brand as a whole.

    3. Have you had UI/UX input on GhostIt before?

Really looking to just understand better where you perceive the value in UI/UX.

      Hey Peter,

I think businesses expect a certain level of polish and there are a few things that I would like cleaned up with the UI without taking my developer's focus off the product. That being said the product works very well and we don't need a UI update. Maybe UX + on-boarding flow as that can always be tighter.

      1. Sort of answered above. I think it's an overall sense that the platform could look a lot better and flow a lot nicer. A specific example would be around the instructions tab in the workflow.

Example: Each step in the content marketing process has the ability to have instructions or descriptions attached to it so you can create a process and then hand that process to someone else to run, but it's not obvious where the instructions are. You should sign up for the platform because it will give you a good idea of what I am talking about.

      1. Product UI and a bit of site branding.

      2. Nope!

Thanks for taking the time to answer! I always find it useful to understand why a business themselves feel they needs UI/UX services.

It sounds like you might be better getting an audit of your site done, just to highlight any obvious usability issues and identify some low hanging fruit to improve. A lot of those can probably be solved in house by your team.

Separate to that I would look for a dedicated Visual Designer to work on the branding of the site. This could then be transitioned back to the product when resource/ time allows.

That approach would give you returns quicker and be much easier than trying to find someone who could do both competently (especially if cost is an issue).

I’d be happy to explain further if you want, just shoot me an email (peter@tygo.design) .
