I've just launched polls.plus! Any feedback?

Last weekend I put the finishing touches on my project https://polls.plus!

I've been working on it for about 3 to 4 weeks, and I wanted to get it out of the door as soon as possible. It was challenging to push myself to release as soon as I felt a decent first version would be ready, but I feel like I succeeded. I'm currently writing a blog post about this final stretch of the first version build.

I plan to launch Polls+ on sites like Product Hunt and BetaList as well as testing my assumptions for a target audience with some cold emails.

Any feedback? :)

    Hi Peter,
    Congrats on shipping!
    A few points

    1. Would be great If I could experience the app before signing up, you can let me create the poll, and then ask me to sign up while saving it
    2. Would be great to have the ability to add images / videos to the polls.

Thank you, and thanks for the feedback!

      1. Yeah, that would lure them in a bit, but I honestly feel it's a bit of a bait and switch. It's also not very spectacular, it's just filling in 3 to 4 text fields.
      2. Great point! I've been thinking about this and decided to keep it to text for now, as it's a lot easier to store and manage text than images and videos.

Thanks for checking it out :)

Great job on shipping! I think you should replace that poll image in the hero for a real live embedded poll – I tried to click and type in it and it didn't work 😂.

I'd also add a few more details to the landing page. I want to see what the form builder UI is like, how it differs from the competition, etc.

Oh and a minor thing. On the embedded example form it looks like the top border is getting cut off? Just a minor CSS tweak needed but looks a little janky as your primary example 👌

      Thanks for checking it out!

Yeah, I considered that might happen, it does seem like a good idea to swap that screenshot out ;)

I was considering making a "features" page which would show more of the dashboard and UI, postponed it for the Early Access release. But more details is definitely a good point.

I'm not seeing this CSS issue, could you send me a screenshot at https://twitter.com/peterdotplus with your Browser/OS?

    Congrats!

It would be interesting to see some sort of pricing page or premium features outlined so that it feels like more of a deal to try it for free.

      Thanks!

Yeah, this is free Early Access, the pricing will be determined later. I'm currently looking for any kind of user that wants to try it, to get feedback and find the proper target market.

What it boils down to, I haven't taken the time to figure out a good pricing structure ;)

      Thanks for checking it out!

Just my personal thought - the red button and title look like a warning to me.
