Hey all,
I've been running a closed-beta for the last 7 weeks for a new product I created. Things are going really well and we're seeing great results (still need plenty of tweaking though).
I've been working with 13 different companies in order to collect some early feedback, and we're planning a full launch next week.
The only thing I haven't collected feedback on (so-far), is the copy for my new landing page. I would love feedback on the headline + subhead and general message.
The product -- Prumio is an AI powered tool that helps companies get press coverage. We do this by:
• Matching companies with the BEST and most relevant press outlets (we don't use press farms or spam tactics - our AI system picks 500 to 1,000 relevant outlets for each company on a campaign-by-campaign basis).
• Our AI creates a press outlet list by using information such as: recently published articles, article % relevancy, outlet authority, outlet readership, % chance of publish and more, in order to create a mixed-bag of outlets that are all relevant to the target company in order to give them the best chance of maximum exposure.
• We personally email all outlets and do 2 follow-ups inside our CRM.
• We work with clients to tailor their pitch and customise a press strategy
It's a product I'm super proud of but I don't know if the messaging is clear enough.
Any help is super appreciated!
Hi @JamesWalsh, congrats on the (impending) launch!
I have to agree that the landing page looks good and the content is well written and engaging. There are only two pieces of feedback I think are important to pass on:
You said you are already running a closed beta - please, please, please include some testimonials and/or quantified positive results on the landing page. This will build trust and make a big difference to conversion.
You've fallen into the classic trap of describing what your product does, instead of why I should buy your product. If you don't do the latter, I won't be interested in the former. A quick example - as a random prospective customer who visits your page with 10 other tabs open in a boring meeting, I don't care how you get me PR, I just want to know that you get me PR quicker/better/cheaper/more easily. Sell me on that first, then convince me with the how.
Good luck!
Thank you so much, amazing advice! My next plan was to build in a couple of case studies - definitely need social proof, you're absolutely right.
With regards to point 2, we'll definitely have to explain this clearer. We do have a 'Competitors VS Prumio' section but we do need an additional way of clearly defining the benefits. Will add that in too.
Thank you for the feedback!
Hi James!
Sharing my video breakdown of this: https://cl.ly/0M18210X000J
To quickly summarize, I suggest focusing on the finished story benefit: "BEST and most relevant press coverage"
... rather than the method of how you get there ("AI-driven")
Cheers mate!
Awesome, thank you so much! Have now found the time to watch this and will implement your ideas. I do like the headline 'Get press coverage with AI driven PR' because I feel like the 'AI driven PR' separates us from competitors, but I absolutely take your points and will make some changes!
Cheers James!
Hi James,
I love your page design! Where did you find inspiration? It looks top notch and really professional.
I read over some of the comments and I agree with what @louisswiss said. That's some really great advice there. Having some form of social proof or testimonials is important.
I wanted to expand on his 2nd point a bit though. Your landing page is a bit more than just a tool to showcase your product. It can be used to measure what part of your product that you need to work on as well. If you're using a tool like hotjar or something similar, you can get insight as to scroll depth, heatmaps, etc that are extremely valuable.
So lets start with your hero area. You go so far as to tell people what your product is. You gotta warm people up a bit before you ask them to buy. This is prime real estate for you to create a value proposition that targets the problem that your audience is having.
Here's what you have:
"Get press coverage with AI driven PR"
Here's my suggestion:
"Take the effort out of press coverage"
"Build your brand with better press coverage"
"Grow your company with more press coverage"
Now here's why you should do this... If you're using analytics, you know when someone scrolls. Because you haven't yet mentioned your product or it's details, you will know if someone lands on your page and scrolls. What does this mean? This means that people are interested enough in the problem to want to read more. This is the first step to hooking someone with the "Why". This means you can take that piece and iterate on it. No scrolling? You're not targeting a valid problem. Lots of scrolling? Cool! You've got the problem down!
So if you start with this "Why" and get it down, you can then move on to the "How". This is rooted in psychology and is how the mind naturally progresses. Simon Sinek does a way better job of explaining this here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPYeCltXpxw
The one suggestion that I would make in regards to "How" is to make it more scannable. Short phrases that people can read while flying by. For example, instead of... "Our AI analyses data-points to pick the best press outlets", shorten it to... "Our algorithm selects the best press outlets". You gotta make this simpler to read. It's also important to note that most people aren't going to read the paragraph text, but it's good to have to reinforce the headline.
After you cover the "How", you can now move on to the "What". This is where you go all in and tell people what you're selling and for how much. There will be an aversion to buy for most which is why you need the social proof aspect via testimonials to handle some of that.
I hope this helps you out. Again, keep in mind that you can track scroll depth and interactions to figure out what area of your landing page to focus on. Work on 1 problem at a time and make sure to A/B test. For example, having an email input in the hero section may convert better or worse than just having a button that scrolls you to a different form on the page. You won't know until you test some of these ideas.
As a side note, I noticed you mentioned that you're using your own CRM. I'm currently in the process of building a CRM and would love to get some insight. Would you be open to helping me out?
Amazing feedback, thank you. This is so valuable. I'm going through each point closely to make sure we actually move forward with your feedback. Thank you so much!
Ah sorry I didn't mean it was our own custom-created CRM, I just meant that we use a CRM that we subscribe to (our own account) in order to manage contact with outlets/editors. Gotta make that clearer!
The landing page was created by a designer we hired - he produces awesome work!
Looks very professional! Was hoping it was live already, which is a great sign
Thanks Joanna!
Hey James. TBH...the landing page looks awesome. I'm not sure I can add any value. I just wanted to wish you guys success. I'm working on a project with a another IH member and hopefully we can see the same success. Good luck and keep us posted on your journey.
I agree with Vez. The product looks great. Ill upvote it on ProductHunt!!. Can wait to see it!
Thank you!
Thanks Vez, your kind words are appreciated! Feel free to share your product, I'd love to take a look :).
