Is there a tool that categorizes sub-reddit posts?
I want to see some kind of grouping for a given sub-reddit to get some insight, and also see how the grouping grows over the course of time. Is there something like this out there?
For example, I mainly want to find out the most active tags over time.

It's rough around the edges (and I may turn it into a product) so please check it out and DO get in touch with your thoughts.
Instructions:
Subreddit --> this box searches and filters by subreddit
Term (lower case-case sensitive) --> this box looks for terms that appear in subreddits (eg: SEO will be mentioned in a whole bunch of subreddits so if you type 'seo' you'll see a list of the subreddits where it's mentioned)
When you click on a subreddit you'll see the terms that appear in that subreddit ordered by frequency.
All the data I have came from a dump in October. What you're seeing is what people talk about the most on each subreddit in October... it's not exactly what you are asking for but it's close.
You can learn a lot from the tool if you spend some time with it.
