What is the conversion rate of your landing page?

I've been trying to figure out what a "good" conversion rate is for a landing page where the goal is to collect emails for a (free) list.
This study from WordStream says that the top 10% of pages convert at 11.45%+.

That surprises me. My conversion rate is over 25%, and yet I feel it could be much better. 11.45% seems pretty low.

My question for those of you with landing pages where the goal is to collect email addresses: what is your conversion rate?

I want to see if mine is actually good or if it only looks high because stats I can find online include landing pages designed by people who have no value proposition or are just terrible at making landing pages. I assume most people here have both a decent value prop and basic copywriting/landing page design skills.

Let's share conversion rates!

If the traffic is really dialed in or the test pool is small then you’ll see higher conversion rates.

If you’ve not sent at least 10,000+ visitors to a page then I’d argue the results you’re seeing are skewed in one direction or another.

When you post on Product Hunt and get 2500 visitors and a 25% conversion Rate it doesn’t mean much. That’s because they may have been primed through the comments on Product Hunt and more or less represent the same type of person.

If you post to Reddit, Hacker News, PH, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Quora, and half a dozen other places and get 10k visitors with 25% email conversion rate on your homepage then you’re doing something right.

Anywho, my homepage (https://www.kyleads.com) is converting at ~11%

    That’s decent.

If it was a dedicated landing page for a dedicated marketing/ad campaign that was converting at that rate then I’d be worried.

Looks like you're doing pretty good!

Here's our conversion/traffic numbers for growsurf.com for some comparison (referral marketing SaaS):

    • YTD has been ~11% (8k unique visitors) -- contained some traffic spikes from launches, etc
    • Last 2 months has been ~18% (3k unique visitors) -- changes were a couple more backlinks, better distribution channels (Quora, for example is great for people searching for our SaaS) and having updated landing copy to optimize for conversions and keywords

Overall, I think we're on the right track as well. If I could attribute one thing, I believe it's been targeting the right audience for us, thus people who have us bookmarked or jotted down somewhere [I presume] return to us as a direct visitor and sign up.

The above numbers are also just for signups -- we also have daily email leads coming in from a Demo, but currently working on improving these leads quality so that the drip emails don't bother them.

Alot depends on where the traffic is from too.

If you have 25% conversion...don't change a thing! Keep driving traffic to the page. That is a monster sized conversion rate!

My project (www.tribefive.me) is roughly converting between 8-10%. I'm counting unique site visitors --> sign up on wait list.
