I really liked the idea behind this, so I wanted to give it a go.
I signed up and saw that there was a fee to pay to have my article submitted to relevant publishers... that's fine and expected.
But then I found that there was ANOTHER fee to be paid if one of the publishers accepted it! And I don't know in advance how much that fee is going to cost! At this point I was like "Wait... huh... ?" and gave up on it.
If you're having trouble acquiring articles, I would say this is the problem.
Or am I misunderstanding how it works?
Hi, thanks for your feedback! Maybe we still need to make a few things clearer.
You are correct - you have to pay a fee to submit an article. This is to keep the quality high and prevent spammers trying to use our service. However, when you sign up you get 1 credit free, so you don't have to pay for the first time.
The publishers you send the article out to will also charge a fee. To give you options, you can offer the content out to 8 different publishers, then you can choose the offer best for you. In some cases it's worth paying more to get featured on a high quality site.

A fixed and known fee for submitting an article to the publishers makes sense.
Where I balked was the idea of having to pay an unknown sum to a publisher, even IF it was accepted.
Maybe I completely misunderstand how the industry works, but I would've thought the publisher would pay me for the content (or at least accept it for nothing).
Making the content writer pay the publisher kind of feels like making a freelance journalist pay to have their hard work published.
Yes that is a common misinterpretation of how it works. It's different to a journalist writing as you are most likely writing a piece to bring referral traffic and garner a backlink to your own website. Bear in mind the fee charged can vary a lot, some are low in the $10-30 range while some top sites charge up to $3k.
