No, it's not. Definitely not. Maybe this guy is good and it's easy for him/her, but most of the IHs I know struggle and work hard to get a few bucks a month.

Sorry but it's wrong.
It's pretty easy to make few hundreds per month.
But as said on HN "if you have basics on product and marketing" => Marketing is key.
The method described on HN is a well known method, it's even possible if you're not a dev.
yeah right, I'll be more interested in a detailed business feedback about a on Indie Hackers than a guy boasting on HN telling "it's easy to create a product, market it and get a few hundred bucks a month"... which are the very activities everyone on IHs is trying to achieve precisely to get a few bucks.
