Project management centralizing app

Hi, i'm very new to the startup culture and the indie hacking community. I am currently trying to train my startup ideas muscles and look for opportunities in problems I myself am facing.

I am currently a CS student in college and it occurred to me than on every single project I've worked on with my classmates, managing all of the files and links and messaging was always a mess. By the end of the project we would end up with documents on dropbox, google drive, some screenshots on a messaging app like discord, then the actual code on github, and our to do lists on some project managing website or app.

My idea based on this was to have a centralized app that could gather everything into one place. The gathering refers to linking to the various documents on the different platforms rather than having the users store everything in one place.

That way, users would be able to use whatever project management tools and file sharing apps they want, and the app would not store anything, just keep track and link to everything.

Technical challenges aside, I am just curious if I am starting to think in the right way about solving problems and if this idea is worth thinking more about.
