Ask IH: Landing Page Feedback

So, this is my first time building a proper landing page, and I'm struggling with getting any conversions. I would love some direction, or a sanity check.

I thought the design was mostly appealing, though I know the content needs more work - more content, and better examples. Is there some glaring thing I'm missing that's causing a high bounce rate?

Landing page: https://dvvy.io

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Hey Ryan,

Congrats on your first landing page!

    Few quick comments:

    • "Just post on your favourite social media platform, and let the automation rules do the rest!" - this leaves me clueless about what your tool actually does. do the rest - what rest?
    • "DVVY is a powerful social media automation, and management tool. You're not limited by having to post in one proprietary tool." - after reading this, I thought your tool is the same as Buffer. So I still don't understand what it does.
    • "Imagine being able to publish a podcast, and have it automatically converted to video, and uploaded to YouTube." - here I finally understand what it does! And I actually think it's great! The problem is that most people won't even scroll this far and read the smallest text on the page.
    • The "get early access" module is your call to action, it should stand out way more (e.g. brighter color). I actually thought it's just a footer and almost skipped it.

In summary: Improve your headline to clearly communicate what you do and what's your unique value proposition. And definitely add more features / use cases, so that I can immediately know if it's relevant for me or not.

Btw - high bounce rate can also be a result of bad (unqualified) traffic. So, depends how you're promoting your site.

    Good luck!

This is some great feedback! Thanks for your time. I'm going to rework my content quite a bit.

The social media automation space is very very crowded. Everyone is using tools like HootSuite, Hubspot or Buffer everyday.

If you are trying to enter this space, I think you'd need to really clearly articulate what your product does, why it's different, why someone needs it over the other tools.

The above the fold image, logo, the tagline and name don't give any indication of what the product does. My initial thought was that maybe it is some eco/sustainability platform.

I think a few screenshots, explanations of why it's unique and people need it will help a lot.

Landing page principles articulated very well in this article:

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll need to find a different background image. I'm seeing now that it's a weird first impression.

      I'll check out this article.

Just my 2 cents: Generally your text on this page is too small and/or hard to read. Most notably, the "Just post on your favourite social media platform, and let the automation rules do the rest!" is borderline unreadable - I think because it's sitting on both the dark trees and light sky causing a lot of contrast variance behind the text. Then again in your example itself, the text is not as hard to read but still too small - it doesn't really pop.

That last part is important I think because the small sentence in the laptop graphic "Imagine being able to publish a podcast, and have it automatically converted to video, and uploaded to YouTube." is the only thing on the page that noted for me how you are unique from the other offerings in this space. So in that vein I'd say more examples like that, but make sure the examples are standing out!

It's a good design in general and I like some of the detail you've put in, but more examples/content and more attention grabbing text would be my advice. Best of luck to you!
