Ask IH: Is it a good idea to postpone launch after potential customers summer vacations?
👋 My dear IHs,
I built the MVP of my current side project that would be ready to launch right now.
My product is mainly targeting Working families and students at their workplaces/schools.
I usually try to ship an MVP as fast as possible to look for a market fit but my potential customers are currently on summer vacation with their families.
Should I wait for them to come back before launching?
My advice? Launch now if you're ready.
In my experience as both a parent in a working family and as developer and entrepreneur, most families don't take the whole summer off on vacation and usually stagger their getaway(s) with other obligations. And honestly, the sooner you launch, the sooner you'll start getting feedback so that when the Fall does come around and most folks are back at work and school full-time, you'll probably have some bug fixes or new features ready to go.
