IH hasn't let me down before, be brutally honest on my latest landing page

This is the third or fourth time I've asked for feedback on something here, and I think it's been overwhelmingly negative every time. That's not a bad thing, it definitely helped me kill ideas early on and it also means I need your help to keep getting better

Here's my latest thing, let me know what you think. Don't hold back.

It's beautifully simple! What framework are you using Bootstrap?

However, I don't quite understand the product - social and newsletter crossover something? At risk of undoing the simplicity, maybe it would benefit from a few screen grabs to illustrate?

    Good work and good luck.

      Hey thanks 🙏

I’m using tachyons and I’m also using launchaco as a sort of template.

Definitely need to put screenshots front and center.

Alright i am lost, but i am not too negative feeling about this. At least i am slightly interested but dunno why i am interested lol. In my opinion, instead of a demo, which i dont think its working yet, do a flow chart to demo the "flow" of your service.

    Hey Sean,

No need to hold back!? This sucks!!!

Just kidding man, here's the real feedback ;)

The website is fairly simple and that's good first step right away as it will be easy to change and understand, here are my points:

    • The headline doesn't tell me much about the product I am fairly confused about what it does.
    • Take the 3 points on the blue section and explain each one individually with some images as they seem to have all the value and the differences between your product and others.
    • Your title for the pricing is way too long you need to limit the width on the desktop to ~700px.
    • I would really advise you to add a section saying "why is this different?" so you can quickly get that objection out of the way.
    • Pick the things you made different about the product and explain those on the landing page it will just make it easier to understand what you do + why it would be better.
    • Mention if you have free trials under the CTA's as the caption as you might confuse people with the "Get started for free" if they are over the features of the free version.

Also, are you using a template or something? Just curious ...

Hope it helps, best of luck Sean!

Interesting tip about the width on desktop.

I’m not using a template, well I kind of am, I use launchaco as a guide and then sort of copy it over myself.

That’s good advice on the screenshots for each bullet point. It’s interesting that I can never get the copy to look cool and marketing-y and understandable at the same time.

Add a big(about 500 x 350 atleast) gif of you posting an email newsletter through your app right in the middle of the screen. Put the 'show demo' button below it and style it like a cta button.

Add some more text in small just under 'Social email newsletters for indie creators' which should act like an extended description of what your app does.

Bonus points for animating text/gif on pageload.

I didn't style the demo button yet, but I did add a screenshot with some device outlines, so that's progress!

Thanks for taking the time to tell me what's wrong here haha

Awesome! Nice concept and looks good too. I wanted to sign up but couldn't as you're still building it 😀
I would definitely use it for earlystagenews.com 👍
