e-mail hosting?
can anyone here recommend email hosting for business? One of my clients has been using goDaddy for email hosting... and they have outgrown it, they have about 20 employees and need something reliable.
Emails from important clients are not coming through and when they send me an email something bad usually happens like attachments are missing or formatting is off
I know of GSuite, which starts at $5/user/month, but it gets pricey very fast. At 20 employees they'd be paying $100/mo for email hosting. Anything else?
Zoho is probably one of the more obvious ones. NameCheap private email is very good as well.
But nothing matches GSuite. At $5/month, it's a steal. You know it'll work. There are no surprises. You know what you're getting. $5/employee is nothing to a business with revenue, and if they have 20 employees, they must be doing something right. It's a great investment.
Similarly why I deploy my early-stage applications to Heroku. Yeah it's a premium cost but I don't want to screw around with hardware or devops. I want things to just work. When I really hit scale, I'll have the resources to move away, but until then, I'd rather focus on more important things.

Also, do they want collaboration tools like Google Docs, Sheets and Slides? If they are using something like Microsoft for that now they could switch to GSuite and save a ton of money. At $5/user/month Google offers a ton of value. You get what you pay for for things like this and going cheap isn't always the best option.

well, as you've mentioned price isn't the only factor. I just want to know what all the options are. All I've heard so far is GSuite. Looks like your link has some alternatives -- checking it out.
One thing about this is that, if they are using Microsoft, it may be a lot of work to get them to switch over to new office software suite just for email. They may see that as a negative depending on their worldview. So for now, solving the email problem is the main issue. If an office suite comes with it, great. But no big deal if it doesn't.
Yeah I totally understand that, if they are set in their ways and are fine with a not as user friendly email client, going the cheaper route should be fine.

I have been using Zoho email. I guess it's one of the best tool/price.
G suite is great too, but if you can use one single domain per account (at least, the last time I checked).
So if you have many domains, Zoho email is great for the price (only 3$/m)

I'd recommend using G Suite. $5/user/month is nothing for something that's as important to a business as email. Google's spam filtering is excellent, you get other benefits like shared calendars, team Google Drive sharing, etc. which will be useful for most businesses.
If you're using Office 365 check your plan - the Business Premium plan includes Exchange Online. You can buy it independently for €3.40/user/month. https://products.office.com/en-ie/exchange/exchange-online

I have been using Migadu.com for a couple of weeks now. Delivery seems reliable so far and setup is easy with clear instructions.
You are not limited by number of users but by number of emails sent per day. Could work out cheaper depending on your clients needs
