Side project vs remote contracts, Which one is better?
Hi guys, It's more than 2 years that I am working on multiple side projects and I don't know if make (economic) sense. I mean I have a permanent job and every night I spend like 1-2 hours coding. After various failures, I have reached 700$ RMM from 2 different projects. Now I am thinking ... what if I work the same amount of time as remote contractor? I can make 700$ in 3 days and more than 3000$ in one month.... What do you think guys?
Will contract work make you as happy or happier than working on side projects? If so, then the choice is easy; likewise if not.
Presumably, your day job is giving you enough economic security that you can spend some time working on and growing your side projects so if that's working out for you and you enjoy it, then I don't see much reason to switch to contracting. If your goal is simply to increase the amount of money you make, then contracting might be the better choice.
