I'm the solo founder of https://Dealiable.com -- webapp that collects and shows all deals from online shops of Bangladesh for shoppers to view, compare and pick.
Now, I've studied a bit about the potential business models for this kind of site and came across a few. Currently, the model is mostly about ads of deals from online shops, which would not be a good fit in the long run as I can imagine.
I would love to hear the opinions or ideas of IH folks regarding the suitable business model for my webapp.
Thank you.
Hey @heemayl .
-Maybe offer a premium service for your users where you would email them if a certain product of their choice is reduced in price or if a sale is about to start/ongoing.
-Groupon model is another choice. Negotiate with sellers to give you products for a heavy discount, and then you would advertise the product on your site for 24hrs with a heavy discount. It's like a limited time offer grab.
Hope it helps :)
Thank you very much for your response.
Both of the points are really interesting.
Deriving from your first idea, what do you think about a premium service where subscribed users will get be shown some classified deals (and some special offers maybe) which will be unavailable to the regular users?
Also what's your pick on a CPC or similar model for charging online shops?
Thanks again.
Hey sorry for the late reply.
Showing classified and relevant deals for subscribed users seems like a nice idea.
Thank you for your time.
