Daily Fire - Music Communities for Music Lovers

Hey Indie Hackers,

I love sharing music, and I love Slack! So at my previous job I, like many other music lovers, started a music sharing channel. It grew quickly and before I knew it there were over 100 people in there sharing music daily! I built a simple website to store the music shared, so people could catch up at the end of the day.

What I found was, I was now talking to colleagues that I would never have interacted with, over a shared interest in music. Inspired by the possibilities of this, I left my job to pursue what had become my passion, Daily Fire!

Currently, Daily Fire is a Slack app that listens to a channel you specify, stores all the shared music and organises it by day and user. It also maintains a Spotify playlist and allows peers to save posted songs by 'liking' tracks. You can even 'follow' other users to get a feed from those whose taste you like!

I’ve been working hard on it and it is currently in beta, so I would love to get feedback from you all. If you own, or are part of, a Slack team that has a music sharing channel, it would mean a lot for you to try it out.
