Has your product launch been hijacked by a stranger who posted your product online before you?
A recent IH discussion on the best sites to launch a product reminded me of an occasion (before PH launched its Ship product) when a maker found his own product hunted on PH by a complete stranger, just ahead of his scheduled launch.
With PH Ship, product launches can now be scheduled, so this should no longer happen, but it is still possible that someone posts a link to your website/app on e.g. Reddit, before you have officially launched.
Has this impacted your launch? Did you take any measures to prevent this from happening to some extent. If it has happened, how did you react?
Prevention measure? Don't put things on the internet if you don't want them found.
Unexpected sharing? Exciting - I'd ask how they found it! (And if can start a conversation with them... what were they looking for, what do they like about it, etc.)

Using the situation to start a conversation and find out more is an excellent idea. In fact, I also believe that such a situation is more positive than negative.
I am curious to find out if anyone was negatively impacted by this and how they reacted.
