What is the best legal status for a French indie hacker?
Hi there,
I hope my question is not too specific. I am currently a freelance web developer (autoentrepreneur in France) but would like to focus more on some side projects in the next months. I am wondering what would be the best legal status for me. My goals:
- Still being able to take some freelance missions to pay the bills
- Being able to launch several (totally) different projects under the same company
- Selling to international clients
- Raising small love money / angels founds to give me more freedom at the really beginning (not more than 50k euros, and no will to raise more after)
- Still being able to offer some equities if somebody joins the company latter
I will be based in France (in France you need to incorporate before accepting money) and will probably make most of my revenues there but I am open to other options like Stripe Atlas if it could be the best for me.
It would be awesome if somebody could help me navigate these issues. This is my worst nightmare.

(for the "in France you need to incorporate before you can accept money", I considered a sole trader as an "individual incorporation"; I still need to have a structure. But maybe incorporation is not the right term for this?!)

One concern I still have is concerning the differents activities of my projects.
Let's imagine that, as a sole trader, I want to (just some examples):
Can I really do it with just an "entreprise individuelle" or an "auto-entreprise"? They have activity sector that seem quite limiting to me :/
