What do you think about running podcast for niche project?

I wondering if it's a good idea to run podcast for very niche business (social media selling for medical business in Poland).

What do you think about that? It will be first and only one, but it's probably only like 10k potential listeners total. :)

There are plenty of examples in the IH interviews of founders that have successfully used podcasts to grow. For example, this is from the ContentSnare interview:

After a couple of tweets, I was asked to come on to WP Innovator. It went so well that podcasts became part of our strategy. Once you've been on two or three of them, you can use the content as social proof to be interviewed on still more.
Since then, there've been six or seven interviews which have been amazing at getting Content Snare out there. It's hard to put exact numbers on this, as most of the traffic comes in as 'direct' in Google Analytics. But after every interview went live, there was always an influx of people typing podcast names into the "How did you hear about us" form.

    Microconf:

Our podcast has served as a platform for self-funded entrepreneurs since 2010, and the majority of our attendees for the first several years heard about MicroConf as a direct result of the podcast. I'm sure it was the biggest driver of growth for the first two years.

    UI Breakfast:

I did a podcast tour around the book launch, which resulted in 9 podcast appearances. (I keep track of them in my content guide.) It's hard to track sales, but the cumulative effect was obvious.

I'm about to embark on a similar thing - specifically for design managers building progression for their teams.

I don't know this yet, but my attitude to it not becoming super boring and singular is to think about what else my target customer cares about and include that wider scope within the pod.

Finding parallel problems in other industries and reaching out to success stories there might also work. What can polish medical businesses learn about their social strategy from other verticals?
