Yes! We ran into keyvalues.com a couple of months after the hackathon. It served as an encouragement to continue working on Leveled, like we were onto a problem that other people were also trying to address. :D

We are still thinking of ways to monetize it, probably adding a job board where companies pay to post/promote open positions. We still want to increase our audience and add some more features before doing that though.

Yes we are in Van City! I'm def down to meet other IH in the area. We could make a slack channel to keep all in touch?

Leveled got an honourable mention at the hackathon, so we were able to get some reviews from there. We also shared with our network , family, friends, co-workers + their coworkers. We also submitted to some beta list websites and that got us a few more reviews. Thank you for the marketing suggestion, will def try that!

I think its hard to find correctness and preciseness (hopefully some honesty yes) when it comes to people's reviews about anything...? It's all about personal experiences, influenced by different perspectives and backgrounds, but I think Leveled's value comes from exactly that. I think the reviews from people that you can identify yourself with can give you a better sense of that company's culture. We do plan to add another level of verification, like linking to the users LinkedIn account, however right now we are relying on people's good faith heh..

Leveled's focus is on company culture. I think Glassdoor gives a high level overview of a company, we try to give it a more personalized touch to it. The true value of Leveled is that you don’t have to rely on averages from big sample sizes.
On a traditional platform, even if there were 100 ratings for a company, what would it tell you when the average rating for Women Friendly is 9/10? Those ratings could come from 90 men rating it as 10, and 10 women rating it as 1. In my case, these women’s reviews are more relevant.
