Ask IH: How do you manage personal chores (errands, groceries, household chores, personal finance)?

I use Notion for a lot of my professional growth, like keeping track of online courses I’m taking, taking notes of my learning, and side projects.

Over time, I realize I’ve been using Notion more (and it feels like overkill!) to manage personal life things like trip planning, recipes, and planning for a new home.

One thing I realized though, with using productivity apps designed for work (like Notion, Asana, Google Drive), is how they’re not designed for on-the-go use. They don’t work very well offline, and when I was using it for trip planning, I ended up having to back up a lot of info on Apple Notes so I can see some important info offline.

Although I love Notion, it’s also not really designed for mobile so a few things bother me (like how slow it loads and the complexity of organizing things).

But I do like that you can share it with others (I have a shared Notion workspace with my wife).

I was wondering, is there a better way to do this? How do you guys manage your personal life, things like shopping lists, travel itineraries, household chores, that sort of thing?

What do you like/dislike about how you’re currently doing it?

I’m thinking of building an app for myself, since nothing really caught my fancy. Appreciate your input!
