Ask IH: Tools to manage product design & development processes in remote freelence teams
Which tools do you use to manage product design & development process in a small team of remote freelencers (part time): designer, mobile developer and (all of them have other projects)
I'm looking for a tool or integrated set of tools that can support desing-development cycles:
- Design Cycle e.g.
- Product Manager (my slef): prepare proposal/sketch + Functional Requirements
- UX/UI + PM: Design files and UX flows
- Product manager: Aprove + update Functional Requirements
- Development Cycles:
- Backend Developer: backend & API implementation based on the Functional Requirements -> Updates Technical Specification
- Mobile Developer kicks-off implementation using Designs, Functional Requirements and Technical Specification
In ideal world where teams are close and working together most of these things can be communicated, but in remote teams with different times zones and different availabilites there needs to be a way to keep the collaboration and information from dispersing accross different channels & tools.
Ideally I'd like them all together - Single Source of truth for Product Managers, Desingers and Developers!
We use: Sketch/InVision, Git, JIRA, Slack, GoogleDocs - and information is falling through the cracks sometimes
