Can you guys give me some feedback on my SaaS and landing page?

Deployo - Web based shell execution tool

Hi Milos, congrats for having a product in the wild, that’s big!

    Here is my feedback:

    • Animated text in header: When I am browsing I don't have the time to wait for the sentence to be fully visible. I kept scrolling and didn't have a clue what it was all about (knowing that I am software developer myself). I would rather have a static text explaining how Deployo will make my life easier.
Additionaly, "Simple. Easy. Accessible." didn't give me any information about the product. If you look at https://zeplin.io - https://trello.com - https://www.getharvest.com straight away I understand how my life will be better with their product, or at least what problem it will solve.

    • Roadmap section: I don't think the roadmap should be on the home page, or at least not that big. I am usually not interested in a feature unless it's available right now. Maybe a link to it would be useful.

    • Pricing section: The "Create Account" buttons are all different colours. My brain isn't associating them to be the same thing until I take time to read properly.
You have 3 different colours of button in the same page, White, Blue, Green. It is confusing, where is the main entry point? Looking at the same examples (https://zeplin.io - https://trello.com - https://www.getharvest.com) each website is using 1 colour for their button. I would reduce the number of possible interaction to a couple of “Sign up“ buttons on the page, and make sure they are all the same flashy colour.
Moreover the yellow for the pricing was disturbing, I was trying to understand why that bit was missing from the first plan. I would add a $0 so that people who haven’t read the name of the plan would understand that a free plan is available.

    • Sign up section: There is already three “Create Account” buttons, and below them the sign-up form. If I click the “Create Account” button from the pricing, I expect to just scroll to the “Sign Up” form below, not to send me to an other page. I would just remove the “Sign up” form from the home page, I doubt that will be of any use. Interested people will go to the “Create Account” page and register.

    • Send us a message section: Not a priority on the home page, if people are trying to get in touch they will check for a link in the footer. If you want to be reachable easily on the home page think about using a tool like http://chaport.com, it is free and works really well.

    • Footer: I would add more details about the company or yourself. When I use a service I like to know who is behind it, especially if I will input sensitive data. Having no information makes me really dubious about the service.

Don’t forget to take my feedback with a grain of salt. I am not an expert. I just wrote what I felt when I saw the website for the first time. Hopefully you will find it useful 🙌🏻

    Good luck 👍🏻

Wow, thank you for taking the time to write in such detail, I really appreciate it!

Deployo is the first product I am publishing and the information you gave me is very helpful. I will definitely implement some of the improvements you suggested.

It looks like a great start but could use some improvements:

    • the words "Simple. Easy. Accessible." in the header don't really mean anything. Instead I would put the text you have under "Overview" in the header.

    • the "Features" section would look better if you make the icons a bit smaller and align the icons and their text to the left.

    • I would put the "roadmap" section further down as it's not immediately important when evaluating a product

    • maybe add some examples of how the product can be used to the landing page

      Thanks for your input Felixg!

Marketing is not my strong suit (obviously) and your feedback is really appreciated.

A video/gif is coming soon, hopefully it will make things clearer for visitors.

Hi Milos, i hope your start was successful and you have the greatest time of your life while working on it.

    Some ideas to help you:
Features: You should either center the bottom features or add a 6th feature. Now it just looks like something is missing. Same with Roadmap.

Pricing: Think about which one of your prices is the one that helps you the most and put it into the center and raise it from the others. You should also give them all the same size.

Contact: Replace this with a tool like Drift or chaport.

I think you are really near by a good structure. Just some small tweaks.

Hi Sven, it is exiting, I have to say :)

Thanks for taking the time to go through the page, and for the recommendation regarding chat tools.

Since you mentioned it, what is your opinion on the pricing plans (amount, value for the user...)?

I am aware that some features are missing for the "professional" plan to have more value (working on them as we speak)

I'm writing this from my phone so excuse the brevity.

    • dollar amounts are they always written like 4$ instead of $4? Seems a bit european
    • the menu button should be white on mobile
    • if I schedule automatic task with my private keys it would require me to give you the passcodes or generate keys without a passcode. how do you make sure they do not get compromised? you should emphasize extensively on the security aspects and how you addresss them. do you even want that much weight on your shoulders?

Hey Martin, thanks for the feedback, you made some good points.

Uploading/generating private-public keys was very useful in my use-case (I also use Deployo myself for other projects). But you are correct, the information on security and how the keys are handled is crucial for that feature.
