As you can tell, WorkWizrd is a new service automation platform. I had a previous iteration with an existing customer base (more of an MVP) and now to more adequately suit their needs I am moving on to the second iteration of my product. This is the business facing landing page. I'll be finishing up the customer facing landing page soon, something along the lines of what Airbnb has, i.e. "Get something done in [city]."
Let me know what you think!
Thanks in advance.
Overall, you made a really good landing page.
Here are some things that I would suggest:
Add a call to action in your sticky top navigation so that when someone isn't in view of your "Get Started" button, there is an easy path for them to take.
Make your main button have a TON more contrast than you currently give it. You want it to draw someones eye to it. Right now it's very transparent and could go missed.
Give people a reason to scroll down from your header. This could be as simple as placing an arrow at the bottom or by moving your screenshots to the bottom so that they're slightly overlapping.
Utilize white space. Everything below the header seems to be tightly grouped together. Add white space (padding on top and bottom)
"Get Updates"... again more contrast. You want it to pop off of the page and grab attention more.
Your footer is a hard stop for someone that is scrolling. It's a great opportunity to give someone something to click on. Think about adding a contact form here, call to action, or by making your contact information clickable so someone can interact with your page.
Great landing page. What it needs more than anything are testimonials. You're asking people to run their businesses on your platform, but that's a scary decision to make! It also requires a high degree of creativity, planning, and thoughtfulness on their part.
Add some social proof. Show customers examples of businesses who've done this successfully. Give them testimonials and case studies. Can you get that from your previous iteration of the customers you had back then? If not, then this is a perfect opportunity to get your hands dirty interacting with a new set of customers, who should provide you with valuable feedback and insights in addition to some testimonials.
Thanks, Courtland. I definitely think there's that opportunity to present my value proposition at a higher level. That and new screenshots of live mockups instead of placeholders and I think it will be quite a bit more handsome. I appreciate your feedback!
Others might disagree, but imo I wouldn't worry too much about screenshots and the sexiness of the visuals. Sell people hard on the dream of automating their businesses, of working less and making more money, of leaving behind the tasks that they hate. How your product looks is boring and unimportant compared to that.
Hi Ethan,
The site looks neat but if you are involving services and handling payments then you should run your site on "https" instead of "http".It will give your customers more confidence security wise.
Copy looks good and I understand what it is that you do.
How are you going to find and acquire customers?
I have a fun answer for this one. I wrote a script which scrapes and gathers data on the top service businesses in each municipality over all of Florida (it would be easy to expand, but for now I'm starting "small"). It gathers 1000-2000 business names and phone numbers usually. Then I literally cold call all of them. One by one. I consider it "doing things that don't scale" until I find a more scalable strategy. I'm happy with it though, more than a quarter of the people I talk to end up signing up.
The copy is good but I would spend more time editing the screenshots (in the hero the image doesn't even fill the screen—looks unreal) plus make them bigger, so they can sell better.
I'll definitely implement this in the future. The screenshots right now are definitely acting as placeholders until I have their respective parts of the product built. Making them bigger is a good idea, too. I appreciate your feedback.
Looks great, Ethan.
Few minor suggestions:
Good luck
Like it. Clear statement of problem and solution.
I think when you solve a true pain, as long as your website doesn't say "unprofessional" it's not that big a deal.
@ethan_harris Good job overall, few comments.
+1 for testimonials
Also, the word "automate" in the context of a service business is a bit confusing to me, even more so, after reading the paragraph below:
It just leaves me thinking you do a lot of stuff, but what do you actually do? If that makes sense 😊
Just noticed theres no favicon as well 😊
You need to change the logo, it feels out of place and not slick enough
Minor nitpick: Your logo is not centered vertically on the white bar at the top
Try increasing your leading by 12.5%. A/B it for a month, and see how your conversions do.
Create your own mockups.
One of the screenshots is just a screenshot of Stripe..?
Also, they look disconnected since they're not of your actual product.
You're right, perhaps I should have waited longer until I had mockups complete. For now, they literally are just placeholders. Thanks for your feedback.
Ya, I would focus on creating some of your own mockups first before trying to get paying customers from this landing page.
People will either 1. Notice it's Stripe and bounce or 2. Expect the dashboard to look that polished, signup, and notice a new product that doesn't look like that.
It looks sharp but I would change one thing: Since you did include a photo of you, and it is quite large on the site, and you're selling a service for businesses, I'd use a more professional photo. People will read a lot into a photo of a person, it's human nature. The sunglasses in particular will not inspire confidence.
Just my .02.
I'll implement this. Thank you.
For now, I see only one issue - the "help" popup. It has actually 2 issues:
Odd.. it should say I’m online (I can answer messages on my phone). I’ll fix that ASAP. Thanks for telling me!
It actually says, but the letters are too small to notice them, and also, after I entered my question, it didn't indicate that you are really available, it just shown some standard text. Trust me, such popups are awfully annoying when they are poppin up not asking users.
