Should I put ads in the results page of the public search of my service?
https://apility.io is an API as a Service that is used primarily to filter emails, domains and IP addresses that may be malicious.
The public site offers a free search service so that anyone can check whether an IP, domain or email is malicious or not. I have managed that the search engines (Google mostly) give us SEO-love and the traffic is on the rise because of it.
But as I'm always thinking about how to get more money out of the project I wonder if it's worth adding advertising (Google Adsense) on the results page. Just a text banner, integrated with the results and not very annoying. That's why I'd like to know about your experiences: will it give a bad image to my potential clients? is it worth the effort? what do you think?
