A system to help you build and launch a web app with less pain and fewer mistakes
I built and ran a SaaS web application as a sole founder for eight years. During that time, I learned a lot, and after five of those years, I wrote a book about all of the operational and logistics lessons I learned.
Shortly after publishing that first edition, I had a minor surgery that led to years of medical issues, and, ultimately, a left below-knee amputation. Through those medical issues, I accidentally discovered how powerful recurring revenue was when you're unable to work consistently. Instead of health issues being a problem for the business, it kept going without skipping a beat. I even gave myself a raise.
I eventually sold my app and learned even more going through due diligence twice. When two separate buyers scrutinize every piece of your business, you gain some new perspective and see the things you did well and those you did, uhm, not so well.
Through all of this, it felt like the original version of the book was incomplete. Building a recurring revenue SaaS business wasn't easy, but it was worth it. This book and resources is my way of trying to pass all of these lessons learned along to others.
