I'm building a simple tool where top hunters can take new product requests from makers.
Hunters can also submit products to other hunters and stop accepting new requests whenever they like.
I got the idea from @benlang Producthunt form.
If you are a hunter, I would love to have you onboard.

Interesting idea. Is it still beneficial to get hunted by a popular hunter? I thought they changed the algorithm that it no longer notifies followers?
It would be cool to see the type of products they hunt to give an idea of whether your product will be relevant to their followers
PH always recommend hunting your own product and the reasoning is what you said.
Even though they don't send email notifications to the followers they still notify all the followers in app, which is still a big deal.
Also having a top hunter on your side really helps to attract more eyeballs and getting featured gets easier, otherwise I can say from my past experience it's not as easy to get featured if you are just a first time maker.

Can you clarify?
I looked around a bit and found this page https://api.producthunt.com/v1/docs
so basically it will only get your public ph profile info with no worry of my app making any changes to your account at all.

I had to implement PH auth in order to verify authentic PH hunters and spam control.
But I can't find any permission exclusion api on their doc :( it seems to be very bare bone at this point.
I would love to improve it if someone can point be towards the specific doc for it.

One product idea for you: add a score for avg # of upvotes per product. Great way to rank hunters.
